The Divine Experience

Each divine centurion displayed their own physical characteristics, varying slightly in heights and in facial features. There were both male and female angels united in this cause, all with full luxurious hair. Some heads were adorned with shorter length curly hair, while other crowns were draped in long flowing wavy locks of uncertain color definition. Each angel had the gentle face and loving eyes of an old soul and the natural ability to transmit a comforting sense of warmth, love and protection.

The soothing sound of the music continued to relax the traveler into a pleasant contemplative state, finally allowing him the opportunity to gather his thoughts once more without interruption. As he slowly hovered past these high ranking officers with eyes affixed upon their faces, he quickly began to recall the events of his day, including the attack on his life, and the incredible details of his transcendental journey. "I believe it's all beginning to make sense to me now", he thought. "I must of died . . . there is no other explanation."

A moment or two after the traveler formalized that overwhelmingly sad thought, one of the male angels positioned to his right and located in the second row toward the end of the line, stepped out of character and warmly and lovingly smiled at him. This must of been an attempt to distract the young boy from his conclusion and place him back in a position of ease . . . an attempt that proved to be successful. The two gazed into each other's eyes for a determined length of time chosen to complete the task. Without his consent or control, the now relaxed traveler continued to float on by, no longer being able to make eye contact with his angelic sponsor.

Strong prismatic beams of color could now be seen radiating inward from the other end of the tunnel. Light bands in subtle hues of reds, blues, yellows and greens became deeper in value and broader in width as the exit came nearer. All along the boy was never afraid, only curious to where he was going and why he was going there. You see, from the moment he died, this child was filled with an innate sense of warmth and protection, a comforting sensation that distracted him from dwelling on his unfortunate demise. Though the little boy was never truly aware of his journey's destination, he was now anxious to make his arrival, and hopefully soon.
